Frank Cohen, Senior Managing Director, The Blackstone Group

Frank Cohen is a Senior Managing Director with the Blackstone Group based in New York. He co-oversees US real estate investments and is a member of the firm’s real estate investment committee.

Since joining Blackstone in 1996, Mr. Cohen has been involved in over $60 billion of real estate investments. He has played a key role in most of the firm’s office investments, including the public to private acquisitions of Equity Office Properties Trust, CarrAmerica Realty Corporation and Trizec Properties. He was also responsible for the firm’s industrial investment strategy and the formation of IndCor Properties, the firm’s 85 million square foot industrial property affiliate.

Mr. Cohen received a BA from Northwestern University, where he graduated from the Honors Program in Mathematical Methods in the Social Sciences, with a double major in political science. He serves as a director for several Blackstone portfolio companies, including EOP and IndCor. He is active in several real estate industry organizations, including as a Trustee of the Urban Land Institute, and is a member of the Kellogg Real Estate Advisory Board and the WCAS Board of Visitors, both at Northwestern University.
