John Bucksbaum is Chief Executive Officer of General Growth Properties, Inc. and serves on the Company's Board of Directors.

Bucksbaum is a 27-year veteran of the General Growth Companies. He has also served as President of General Growth of California.

Bucksbaum received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Denver, Denver, Colorado. He is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts, the Real Estate Roundtable, the University of California Real Estate Center, the Executive Committee of the Wharton School Advisory Board and the Urban Land Institute.

In addition to his professional affiliations, Bucksbaum serves as a member of the board for World T.E.A.M. Sports, the U.S. Ski Team Foundation, the ICSC Educational Foundation, and is also on the Board of Governors for the Urban Land Institute Foundation. John Bucksbaum, SCSM and chief executive officer of General Growth Properties, Inc., Chicago, Ill., is the chairman of International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). He is the first with a parent who has also held the post; Matthew Bucksbaum, who founded General Growth with his brother Martin, was chairman for the 1992-93 term.
