Please join us in congratulating Craig Garthwaite on being awarded tenure! 

Garthwaite joined the faculty of the Kellogg School of Management in 2009. His research focuses on areas related to health economics, the pharmaceutical industry, and public finance. Earlier this year, he was named to the 2015 Best 40 Under 40 Professors list by Poets & Quants, and is frequently quoted by external media in relation to the Affordable Care Act, drug mergers, and more. Browse his thought leadership featured on Kellogg Insight

Professor Leemore Dafny served on a panel at Yale University’s conference, "The New Health Care Industry: Integration, Consolidation, Competition in the Wake of the Affordable Care Act." The topic of the panel was "Bigger and Better? Horizontal Consolidation Within Sectors and Antitrust Enforcement."

On behalf of the entire HEMA community, I offer my congratulations and appreciation to Professor Joel Shalowitz for his 28 years of dedicated service to our healthcare program. 

Anyone who has interacted with Joel – as a student, colleague, or member of the broader healthcare community – knows his dedication to bettering our healthcare system through dialogue, study, and engagement between managers and practitioners.  Joel’s commitment to mentorship and advising is unparalleled. He has been an integral force in placing HEMA at the top of the list for aspiring healthcare management students.

Joel will continue as Professor of Preventive Medicine at Northwestern’s Feinberg School of Medicine. He will stay engaged with Kellogg through our executive education program, where he will direct the development of a number of healthcare-related offerings. He cares deeply about this community and looks forward to staying in touch as he continues his work at Northwestern.
