Nicki Nabasny, Ed.D.
Chief Innovation and Strategy Officer / Kellogg School of Management
Chief of Staff
Nicki Nabasny is the chief innovation and strategy officer and chief of staff at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
Nabasny joined Kellogg in April 2020 and supports the school’s strategic agenda by enabling coordination and collaboration across the school and leading the execution of select strategic programs, initiatives and business processes that advance Kellogg’s priorities. Nabasny also fulfills the duties of Chief of Staff, serving as an important partner to the dean in effectively managing key relationships across Kellogg, the University and the larger community.
Prior to Kellogg, Nabasny served as associate provost and executive director of communications at the University of Chicago, leading communications and providing strategic project leadership on cross-divisional initiatives on behalf of the Office of the Provost. She previously served as chief of staff to Provost Daniel Diermeier. Additionally, she was part of the leadership team of Harris Public Policy for five years, serving as associate dean of alumni relations and development. Her professional school experience also includes eight years at the University of San Francisco.
Nabasny holds an Ed.D. in organization and leadership, and a master’s of nonprofit administrations from the University of San Francisco. She obtained her B.A. in Spanish studies and B.S. in political science from Santa Clara University.
