Why did you pursue an MBA, and in particular, why the 1Y program?
I wanted to further expand my marketing experience and the 1Y program was aligned with my short-term goals.
How do 1Ys fit into the greater student body population of Kellogg community (2Ys, PT, EMBA)?
We join them in the fall quarter. Aside from the time of our programs and core courses, the experience is pretty much the same, although 1Ys typically are people who have predetermined destinations after graduation. Additionally, the 1Y community is very tight. We are a small class, but with strong diversity and successful backgrounds, we hold a strong voice within the Kellogg community.
What has been the most valuable Kellogg experience so far?
Trips have been great. KWEST and the ski trip were remarkable experiences, especially because of the people that were in them. They made the difference. The Kellogg community differentiates this school.
How would you describe the Kellogg culture and community?
I love it here. When you least realize it, you feel at home and actually miss this place when you are away. There is an essence to this community that is fed by its people and the legacy of its own students that honor the culture and build strong relationships.
