International Students

I-20/DS-2019 Request Process (Visa)
International students who accept the offer of admission from the Kellogg School of Management will need to apply for an I-20/DS-2019 to study in the United States. Please refer to the “Submit a Visa Request” information from the Office of International Student and Scholar Services (OISS).

New students may enter the country 30 days prior to the official start date. The official start date for Kellogg PhD students is August 26, 2024.

Registering Passports
All International Students must register their passports with OISS as soon as possible after arriving on campus.

Applying for SSN & ITIN

To be eligible for stipend payments, Kellogg doctoral students must have either a Social Security Number (SSN) or an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN).
 
International Student Orientation
All international students will attend an International Student Orientation upon their arrival to campus. Additional information for new students is available on the Office of International Student and Scholar Services website
