Lisa Jovanovski

Event Chair

Lisa Battisfore — lbattisfore2015@kellogg.northwestern.edu

Lisa Battisfore is a first-year MBA candidate at the Kellogg School of Management with intended majors in Health Enterprise Management (HEMA), Marketing, and Management & Organizations. In addition to her role as Event Chair for the Women’s Leadership Workshop, Lisa is also a member of the Kellogg Board Fellows program and a first-year Director for the Kellogg Healthcare Club. Lisa grew up in the far north suburbs of Chicago and graduated from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, where she majored in Biological Sciences and minored in African American Studies. She received honors for her research on the links between sleep and metabolism. Prior to Kellogg, she worked for a national mass retailer in Minneapolis, Minnesota, as a pricing analyst and in several roles as a healthcare analyst (pharmacy). After Kellogg, Lisa is planning to pursue a career in
healthcare management.


Eliza Bach

Aliza Bach is a first- year student at the Kellogg School of Management originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota. She intends to major in Health Enterprise Management (HEMA) and Management & Strategy. Prior to Kellogg, she graduated from Tufts University with a dual B.A. in International Relations and Asian Studies before working on Capitol Hill for a Congressman and at The Advisory Board Company in healthcare research and consulting. At Kellogg she was a first year director for the Business of Healthcare Conference and programs events for Kellogg Eatz. After Kellogg, Aliza aspires to work in health reform implementation at a hospital or insurance company.

Valerie Myers

Valerie Myers Christensen is a first year student at the Kellogg School of Management with intended majors in Innovation & Entrepreneurship and Management & Strategy. At Kellogg, Valerie is involved with the High Tech club, the Kellogg Entrepreneurs Organization (KEO) and the Swim Bike Run club. Prior to Kellogg, she ran an entrepreneurial organization at the University of Oklahoma known as the Center for the Creation of Economic Wealth (CCEW), and has started three companies. She graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a degrees in Economics and International Business.

Rachel Boykins

Rachel Boykins — rboykins2015@kellogg.northwestern.edu

Rachel Boykins is a first year student planning to concentrate in Marketing and Management & Strategy. Rachel graduated from the University of Michigan (Go Blue!) with a degree in Business Administration and a second degree in Communications. Post undergrad, she moved to Minneapolis to work at the headquarters for Target Corporation. She began her career as a merchandising analyst for children’s books in the Entertainment Division and later switched to a role as a food supply chain analyst in distribution. After learning way more about food quality and Disney characters than she ever expected to know, Rachel decided it was time to go back to school to get her MBA and that Kellogg was the best place for her to do this. As a former WLW attendee, the workshop had great impact in driving her aspirations to be a global leader and revealing how Kellogg would prepare her for this future. At Kellogg, Rachel is involved with the Kellogg Marketing Club (KMC), Black Management Association (BMA), Inner City Mentoring Club (ICM), and hosts admissions lunches with prospective students. After Kellogg, Rachel aspires to work in marketing strategy and stay in the Chicago area.

Fleur Tang

Fleur Tang is a first year student with intended majors in Management & Organizations and Management & Strategy. Born in Shanghai, China, Fleur was graduated from Fudan University with a degree in English Language & Literature before starting in Human Resources at Starwood and working for lifestyle every day. After working in several cities and hotel brands in China, she made the decision to attend Kellogg (best decision ever!). At Kellogg, Fleur is involved with Consulting Club, Greater China Business Conference, Healthcare Club and General Management Club.

John Olsen

Marketing Chair

John Olsen is a first year student at Kellogg, with intended majors in Marketing Management, Management and Strategy, and International Business. In addition to his role as Marketing Chair for the Women’s Leadership Workshop, John is involved in the Kellogg Marketing Conference and the Gay & Lesbian Management Association. Prior to Kellogg, John attended Dartmouth College and the Columbia University School of Law. John practiced law for five years, including time as a big firm finance attorney and a solo practitioner, before coming to Kellogg. After earning his MBA, John plans to pursue a career in marketing and brand management.

Courtney Normand

Logistics Chair

Courtney Normand — cnormand2015@kellogg.northwestern.edu

Courtney Normand is a first-year MBA student at the Kellogg School of Management. She is also pursuing her Masters in Engineering Management through the MMM Program. At Kellogg, Courtney is involved with Kellogg Cares and the Admissions Tour Guide team as well as participating in Run|Bike|Swim events. Prior to business school, she worked in operations-focused roles at a commercial truck and engine manufacturing in their defense business. Courtney graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and is originally from
Grand Rapids, MI.

Megan Gordon

Megan Gordon is a first-year student at the Kellogg School of Management with intended majors in Marketing & Marketing Management. Megan grew up in Annapolis, MD and attended Ohio State University where she majored in Economics and was a member of the Varsity Women's Rowing Team. Prior to Kellogg, Megan lived in Washington, DC and worked as a Product Management Analyst for GEICO. After work in the evenings, she coached the Varsity Women's Rowing Team at Bethesda Chevy-Chase high school for five years. At Kellogg, Megan is on the Marketing Committee for the Kellogg Sports Business Conference and the Careers Committee for the Kellogg Sports Business Club. An avid heath and fitness enthusiast, Megan hopes to pursue a career in Sports Marketing with a particular focus on women in sports.

Pooja Prasad

Pooja Prasad is a first year student at the Kellogg School of Management. Pooja was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area and attended the University of California, Berkeley where she majored in Political Science and Economics. Prior to Kellogg, Pooja spent four years working at Adobe on the social media marketing team, where she was responsible for Adobe’s brand presence on social media and internal social media training program. At Kellogg, Pooja also serves as a director of marketing in the Women’s Business Association.
