NetIDs
and changing your NetID password
Kellogg students have one computer account: a University
NetID. Your NetID is your key to online resources at
Kellogg and Northwestern. With your NetID and password,
you can access your online grade report, email, web
resources, etc.
The
password for your NetID is also the password for your
NU email account. Every 120 days your NetID password
will expire. Password expiration is imposed by the University
for security reasons. You will receive email messages
prior to the expiration date of the password warning
you of the need to change your password.

Obtaining
a Temporary NetID Password
If your password expires, you will need to obtain a
temporary password. If this happens, please contact
Allyson Grey of the Part-Time MBA Program office at
(312) 503-6635 or a-grey@kellogg.northwestern.edu.
You
can also request a temporary password by calling:
-
Kellogg Information Systems' Technical Support Center
at (847) 467-2100. (Hours)
-
Northwestern IT's Support Center at (847) 491-HELP
(4357). (Hours)
Please
note that you must have a "Question & Answer"
(Q&A) recorded that we can use to verify your identity.
If you have not set up a Q&A, neither KIS nor Northwestern
IT will be able to reset your password over the phone.
If you need a temporary password, but do not have a
Q&A, please see Northwestern IT's Options
for Resetting your NetID Password.
Your
NU email account
It’s important to maintain your NU email account
because this is the account that professors will use
to send class-related announcements.
The
first step in using NU email is to have a NetID and
password. You should have received this information
during new student orientation.
Wieboldt
Hall has computers and printers available for Part-Time
MBA Program students on the first floor and in the Schaffner
Library. You can use Northwestern's Webmail service
to check your NU email or configure Outlook to check
your NU email.
Forward your email
or set your vacation message
If you don’t want to check two email accounts,
you can forward your NU email to your work or home email
address. You can also set a vacation message when you
will be away from your email for a long period of time.
