Kellogg Part-Time MBA Program

About the MBA Program
Choosing Kellogg
From a great reputation to a collaborative approach, alumni and students talk about their reasons for choosing the Kellogg School.
The Kellogg School’s Part-Time MBA Program offers working professionals the opportunity to earn a Kellogg MBA while continuing to pursue a full-time career. Attend on weeknights or Saturdays. Major in one subject or many. Complete the program in 2.5 years or three or four or five. The program is fully customizable. Among dozens of courses in 20 fields of study, you’ll find exactly what you need to energize your career.

At the heart of the program are the core courses common to all of our MBA programs. Whether you attend on Saturdays or in the evening, you’ll learn to collaborate with a diverse range of people. You’ll be ready to excel in tomorrow’s global workplace. Kellogg attracts students with widely varying backgrounds, experience, ages and interests, and teamwork is a critical component of nearly every class.
As Alex Lew ’09 puts it, “Working in groups is essential to the flow of business in the real world. And group work at Kellogg is at the heart of the curriculum.”

You’ll learn from some of the nation’s top scholars and practitioners of business. Combining their latest research with practical experience, our faculty bring cutting-edge knowledge to every class they teach. And you won’t have to wait until graduation to apply what you’ve learned — you can put this week’s theory into practice on Monday morning.

Part-time Kellogg students attend classes in downtown Chicago, near the financial heart of the city. Most classes are held at Northwestern University’s Wieboldt Hall, a historic building at 340 East Superior Street that has recently undergone substantial renovation.

Wieboldt is home to the Schaffner Library, where you’ll find more than 110,000 volumes and pamphlets, more than 1,000 periodicals, and a variety of business databases such as AdSpender. As a Kellogg student, you’ll also have access to the University Library on Northwestern’s Evanston campus — one of the largest university libraries in the United States — and to a wide range of libraries in the Chicago area and beyond.

Students looking for a change of venue, a chance to expand their Kellogg network, or certain additional majors can take some of their evening classes with Full-Time MBA students, either in Chicago and on the Evanston campus.
