Initiatives and Activities Through our initiatives, we strive to both foster the creation of true global leaders in a culture of collaboration and innovation, as well as build and promote Kellogg's brand.
Our main initiatives are:
Help seamlessly integrate international students into the Kellogg community CIM International Buddy Program – To facilitate international students’ adaptation process to American culture and business school and jump start global friendships, every international student is paired with two American students in his/her class. This makes all three students “buddies,” and encourages better integration of domestic and international students.
Workshops for new students – We also organize workshops which are tailored to international students to help them relate more to the US environment. Some examples of the workshops are – American Football 101, Baseball Primer, US Politics 101 etc.
Make Kellogg a truly global experience by promoting Global Awareness amongst the Student Body
MOSAIC – A week-long celebration of Kellogg’s global diversity. We do this through cultural and academic/professional events to showcase our international diversity. There is a variety of events such as key global leader speaker events, cultural awareness and stereotypes workshops, student DJ’s spinning tunes from all over the world, an international food tasting competition, an international fashion show, and an international movie night. Click here to read more about MOSIAC ’09. We organize similar events of a global nature all year round.
Constant Communication to Sections: Ensuring that all global events at Kellogg are communicated to your section. This is done via a weekly newsletter to all your section-classmates.
External communication to promote and strengthen Kellogg's global brand
Kellogg Ambassadors Program – This program provides a platform for current students to host informal sessions for prospective students in their home countries. We help students host sessions aimed at sharing first hand information about their Kellogg experience. These events are held in the winter, summer and less frequently during spring break. If you are a perspective student click here to view the list of events in various international locations. |

As a member of the KSA Global Affairs (KSA-GA) committee you have a very important role to both create an environment to foster exchange of global knowledge and international experience amongst the student body, as well as help enhance Kellogg’s brand globally. Kellogg’s diverse student-body is our key competitive advantage, and you can play an active role in turning your classmates into true global leaders.
KSA Global Affairs Rep Key Roles:
1. Ensuring that all global events at Kellogg are communicated to your section. This is done via a weekly newsletter to all your section-classmates. 2. Taking ownership of the strategic initiatives of KSA-Global Affairs to drive it either in the space of making Kellogg a truly global experience, or in the space of external communication to build and enhance Kellogg's global brand. Some examples of current activities: - CIM International Buddy Program - Workshops for new students - MOSAIC - Kellogg Ambassadors Program - Alumni integration - Work with Alumni Office to better integrate our international alumni. - Enhance opportunities of international recruiting, and recruiting of international students in the U.S. 3. Helping to create stronger international content in core courses, more international electives leading to an International Major, creating a Wiki for international students explaining the U.S. specific content in our curriculum, professors sharing information, etc. 4. Ensuring that you are the voice of the international students and bringing any issues the international student body is having or suggestions for value add activities to the KSA (student-government). 5. Own and drive any other initiative (besides the ones we already have) that you think will improve Kellogg’s ‘international-ness’.
Have a lot of fun with your fellow KSA-GA members... |
