Transition
Each club
must select one person (or two people) to be responsible for
the club's use of technology, aka Technology Co-Chair, Club
Moderator, or Club Webmaster.
This
person should complete the following steps during Spring Quarter.
If your club runs a conference, be sure to follow all steps
for both club and conference.
Club
directory
(all
clubs)
Change
your club moderators in the Club
Directory. Contact your club's outgoing moderator to
add you as a moderator, via the Modify Groups feature.
Once you are a moderator, you can add other moderators. If there is no outgoing moderator, fill out this form.
Web
site
(nearly all clubs)
Request security access to modify your club's
web site (which should be a web link in the Club
Directory). You
should have been added as a club moderator in the club
directory
before you request this security access.
Listserv
(most
clubs)
Request
club moderator mailbox/password, if your club
listserv announcements are moderated. Contact Kellogg Information Systems at
kis-techtools@kellogg.northwestern.edu with your name, netid, and club listserv(s). By default,
listservs are not moderated for content and messages will
automatically go out once they are sent. Messages for content
moderated listservs are sent to a temporary mailbox to await
approval by the content moderator before being sent to the
list members. You should have been added as a club moderator
in the club directory before you request this security
access.
Request
membership moderation if you wish to add/delete members to
your club
listserv. Contact KIS by filling out this
form with your name, netid, and club listserv(s). You
should have been added as a club moderator in the club directory
before you request this security access.
Discussion
groups (some
clubs)
Change discussion group owners, if your club has a discussion
group. Contact your club's outgoing discussion group
owner(s) to add you as a co-owner. Once you are a co-owner,
you can add additional owners.
SharePoint (some
clubs)
SharePoint is a virtual team collaboration tool that can assist clubs in storing documents, sharing information, and coordinating project work. To
request a SharePoint site, fill out the following form,
located on the KIS website..
Email
address (a
few clubs, usually for a conference)
Change the club recipient of email messages sent to your club/conference
email address, if your club has such an address. This can be requested by filling out this form. (Note: Established email addresses may be on a Kellogg
or NU mail server.) You should have been added as a club
moderator in the club directory before you request this security
access.
