How to Report an Honor Code Violation
If you are concerned that you or another student may have committed an Honor Code violation, please do not hesitate to contact a member of the Honor Code Committee as soon as possible. While some students choose to intervene to stop a potential violation before it becomes even more serious (e.g. warning a team member about possible plagiarism before a paper is submitted, etc.), you are not required to do so.
You may report a violation by simply sending an email to any of the following:
- The Kellogg Honor Code Committee: honorcode@kellogg.northwestern.edu
- Any Kellogg Honor Code Committee member
- Michelle Rogers, the Assistant Dean, Director of Academic Affairs
- The KSA VP of Academic Affairs, Chris Petersen
The Honor Code Committee will not consider any form of anonymous report, but your confidentiality will be protected throughout the process. The Committee also asks that you respect the confidential nature of the situation and discuss any potential violation with no one except those noted above.
The Honor Code clearly states that it is each member of the Kellogg community's individual responsibility to uphold the Code, including in particular, "by reporting all material violations." If you are aware of a violation, please report your concerns as soon as possible.

If you have any other questions about reporting a violation, please review the FAQ page or contact any member of the Honor Code Committee.
Thank you for helping to maintain the standards of conduct that we are so proud of at Kellogg.
