Offerings
We
understand that one of the main reasons you chose to attend business
school is to strengthen your leadership skills and prepare yourself for
the challenges that you will face in your career. We provide a wide
range of offerings that enhance your leadership development.
Leadership Speaker Series
Recognizing
the value of learning from others' perspectives, we invite speakers to
come and share their leadership experiences. We seek speakers across
different industries, professional roles, and backgrounds to provide
diverse viewpoints. Past speakers have included Jack Welch (former CEO
of GE), Lovie Smith (coach of the Chicago Bears), and Betsy Holden
(former CEO of Kraft). BLC Leadership Expeditions
Want to really test your leadership skills?
Kellogg
Leadership Expeditions, established in 2006, strives to build on the
leadership theory that is taught in the classroom by bringing it to the
next level – application in tangible, real-world settings. Acting as a
quasi- “GIM for 2nd years” or a “GIM alternative” for 1st
years, Expeditions combine a week-long outdoor adventure during Spring
Break with discussion and reflection of various leadership issues.
In
2007, the BLC offered two trips (Patagonia, Chile and Moab, Utah) led
by the National Outdoor Leadership School and Outward Bound
Professional. IN 2008 we returned to Patagonia and Utah and also
added a Habitat for Humanity build in New Orleans. To learn more about

360 Degree Leadership Assessment
All
students entering the 2Y MBA program are required to complete a 360
degree leadership assessment. This tool identifies strengths and
weaknesses in students' leadership skills from their previous work
experiences. By understanding their areas for improvement, students can
tailor their classes and activities to accelerate their leadership
development.
