Overview:

The Kellogg Award for Distinguished Leadership recognizes distinguished leadership that is consistent with the ideals of the Kellogg School of Management and promotes Kellogg's commitment to developing leaders of the highest caliber and character.

Award Mission Statement:

The Award was created by the Business Leadership Club with the support and assistance of the Dean's office and achieves three main objectives:

• Reinforce the importance of leadership at Kellogg and generate dialogue and reflection throughout the Kellogg community.
• Honor a person whose leadership is consistent with the ideals of the Kellogg School of Management.
• Build relationships between Kellogg and Leaders of business and society.

The student or faculty member whose nominee is selected to receive the Award will be rewarded with:

• Personal introduction to the Award Recipient
• Seat next to the recipient at the Award ceremony
• Opportunity to introduce the recipient at the Award ceremony
• Seat at the recipient’s table at the post-ceremony dinner held in the recipients honor  

Selection Process:

The selection process of the Award is unique. Eligible candidates include business and community leaders from around the world. Kellogg faculty, administration, and students of the full-time, managers (part-time), and executive management programs are asked to nominate candidates for this prestigious award.

Nominations will go through a two-stage review process: First, the Business Leadership Club will evaluate all nominations and select five finalists for review by the Final Selection Committee. Second, a Final Selection Committee—comprised of distinguished student and faculty leadership at Kellogg—will submit a recommendation for the recipient of the Award based on its evaluation of the five finalists.

The Kellogg Award for Distinguished Leadership is presented to the honoree at a ceremony each spring.
