Kellogg Christian Fellowship's Mission Statement:
A Community for Christian discovery and development during the MBA experience.
By community we mean:
A group growing genuine relationships through authenticity, accountability, application, guidance and encouragement. “Business networking” by nature strengthens our brand, increases our influence, secures resources, expands market reach, etc. but does not address our deeper need to know others and be known by others for who we really are in meaningful relationships. We are a safe place to remove the mask of “business networking” and enter genuine community.
“Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work: If one falls down, his friend can help him up. But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up! Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken”.
Ecclesiastes 4:9-12
By Christian discovery we mean:
Taking the next step your journey toward knowing God, regardless of where you are on the path. Discovery includes practical application of Biblical truth in areas such as management, finance, and relationships; as well as real answers to the human condition and purpose of life. The ultimate discovery is that God is desperately seeking to know you and you can choose to know Him.
“Here I am, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.” Revelation 3:20
By Christian development we mean:
Continued growth in relationship with God through fellowship, worship, Bible study, prayer, and service.
“But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be glory both now and forever, Amen!” 2 Peter 3:18
What does this have to do with the MBA experience?:
Our worldview defines who we are in class, on the job, in our relationships, as well as in our place of worship; regardless of our attempts to compartmentalize our lives. Our maturity as business leaders is best accomplished through engaging in meaningful discussion of the worldviews and implications represented in this unique marketplace of ideas so that we may be challenged, and challenge others, to seek the truth.
“Whatsoever things are true… think about such things”
Philippians 4:8 (and referenced on the Seal of Northwestern University)
Who we are:
