Volunteer

Thank you for considering a contribution of your time and efforts to the Kellogg Habitat for Humanity Club.  You don't need to be an expert in construction or a committee subject area to help out.  There are many tasks that require only a willingness to learn and work with others. The Kellogg Habitat for Humanity Club has multiple opportunities for you to volunteer in the areas of construction, sub-committees, and fundraising.

 Construction

On-site construction work is the most popular volunteer opportunity offered by the Kellogg Habitat for Humanity Club. You don't need to be an expert in construction to help out on a work site, but do encourage skilled volunteers to participate in an effort to develop efficient build teams.  We make every effort to incorporate all willing volunteers regardless of skill level, however volunteers must be 16 years or older to work on the construction sites if a current Kellogg student wants to involve their children.  Individual volunteers may come any day we work, but we do require volunteers to stay the entire eight-hour day onsite.  Individual volunteers may make a time commitment of their choosing by contacting Robert Fessele or Louis Merlini to sign-up for a particular build date.  Build dates can be found in the Builds section of our website.

 Sub-committees

The Kellogg Habitat for Humanity Club Executive Board is always in need of volunteers to help out with special projects throughout the year.  Projects may consist of coordinating section builds, fundraising events, or working with other student chapters to create integrative solutions.

 Fundraising

Fundraising is a large part of the Kellogg Habitat for Humanity Club's contribution to Habitat for Humanity.  Each year the club makes a financial pledge to their affiliate and relies on student contributions to meet this pledge.  If you would like to volunteer in our fundraising efforts or have ideas for fundraisers, please contact Gareth Hayes or Andrew Gustafson.
