Prior to that, Jessie worked at Citibank Taiwan as a software engineer for its online banking. Jessie is a huge computer gadget fan. Prior to Kellogg, Tom worked for four years in Citigroup's Investment Banking & Fixed Income divisions, completing several financings for large international development projects in Latin America. Tom spent last summer in New York and London working on structured finance and international securities transactions at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP. In addition to his MBA, he is also pursuing a JD through a joint degree program with Northwestern Law School.

Originally from Los Angeles, California, Derek launched his career in Economic Development in San Francisco and eventually transitioned to New York City to continue the practice. Over the year’s Derek has led cross-functional teams in a large scale real estate redevelopment plans. Most recently he managed a micro finance/grant making and general lending fund where assisted not-for-profits, small and mid tier business, in economically disadvantaged communities. Derek never lets the grass grow to high beneath his feet and you can always catch him planning his next trip to an emerging market. Though his most recent travels have landed him in South East Asia, Southern Africa and Dubai, his home away from home is the lovely Brazil. In each new locale he loves to pursue his passions of creative writing, photography and listening and learning about new home grown music.

Prior to Kellogg, Shane had spent 12 years in public sector healthcare. As a Kellogg student, he lives in Boystown - one of the handful of students to live outside of Evanston. He worked in consulting over the summer and and plans to stay in the field after Kellogg. Kellogg has given him a chance to dust off his passport and travel to Chiapas, Mexico; Turkey; and Dubai, as well as living a semester abroad in Barcelona. As an undergrad, he spent a year in Munich, including a week in Paris without any money, sleeping in parks.

Teo’s recent experience focused on the retail industry, in which he had the opportunity to help companies to better structure their Pricing Strategy, introduce a new Convenience store format and understand the complex dynamics of some particular markets in Brazil. Teo was also responsible for leading the Valuation team at Accenture, training and reviewing the reports written by his coleagues. Outside work and school, Teo is an avid electronic music fan (played in 5 clubs in Sao Paulo as guest DJ) and enjoys playing strategy board and computer games with his friends.

Prior to Kellogg, Mitch worked as an Associate for PRTM Management Consultants out of its Chicago office. He was a member of the Communications Industry Group, and he primarily focused on operations strategy projects for wireless companies. Prior to PRTM, Mitch worked as a lead sales engineer for two start-up telecommunications equipment providers and as an engineer for AT&T. At Kellogg, Mitch plans to study Marketing, Strategy, and Finance.

Originally from Chicago, Pete is a joint-degree MMM student with Kellogg and the McCormick School of Engineering & Applied Science here at Northwestern. Pete spent the last four years in Austin, Texas as the Manager of Design Services for Earth Tech, a civil engineering firm. After Kellogg, he plans to pursue a career in strategy, operations and financing of infrastructure, supply-chain and transportation projects. Outside of work, Pete enjoys running, swimming, traveling, the arts, good food, great coffee and relaxing with friends.
