Co-chairs
Mawi is a second-year MBA student majoring in Marketing, Entrepreneurship, and Finance. For the last seven years, Mawi has run Mawi, Inc, a firm dedicated to inspiring teenagers through books, journals, CDs, and live presentations. A bestselling author of four books, Mawi has spoken to over four hundred thousand students in 32 states. At Kellogg, Mawi's chief involvements are the Black Management Associaton and Ed InC. Mawi graduated cum laude from Harvard University with a degree in History. You can learn more about Mawi's company at www.mawispeaks.com.
Nicole is a second year MBA student majoring in SEEK, Decision Sciences, and Management and Strategy. In addition to being one of the co-chairs of the Education Industry Club, she is President of the Social Impact Club. She is also part of Kellogg’s Board Fellows program. Prior to coming to Kellogg, Nicole served as the Deputy Director of the Advisory Committee on Student Financial Assistance, an independent committee that advises Congress and the Secretary of Education on student financial aid policy and, in particular, on how to increase access to college for low-income students. Prior to that, she was a high school teacher in the Baltimore City Public Schools System. Nicole is an alumnus of the program Teach For America and a former Associate with the National Center for Public Policy and Higher Education. She began her career as a librarian at the International School of Trieste in Trieste, Italy. She received her M.A.T. from Johns Hopkins University and her B.A. from Harvard University.
Daniel is a second year MBA student majoring in Social Enterprise, Management & Strategy, and Finance. He began his career teaching high school physics and mathematics at St. Sebastian’s in Boston and the Georgetown Preparatory School in Washington D.C. He also spent two years as a management consultant at Mercer Management Consulting where he worked on multiple engagements for large retail clients. Daniel graduated cum laude from Williams College with a degree in Economics. In addition to serving as a co-chair of EdInC, Dan is co-chair/captain of the Rugby club, and also a non-voting board member for the North Shore Country Day School and a class of ’08 board member for the One Acre Fund.
Mike is a second year MBA student majoring in Finance, Social Enterprise, and Entrepreneurship. Immediately before Kellogg, Mike taught math to juniors and seniors in a small public New York City high school called Landmark. Prior to that, Mike worked as a consultant for Mercer Oliver Wyman where he focused on strategic management projects in the financial services space. At Kellogg, in addition to serving as a co-chair for EdInC, Mike is on the board of the Social Impact Club, he is a DAK and CIM section leader, a member of the Diversity and Inclusion Council, a basketball club co-chair, and he is his section’s academic representative. Mike is a Board Fellow for Chicago Leadership Academies for Sustained Success and a volunteer tutor for the NFTE program. Mike earned a BSE in operations engineering cum laude from Princeton University.
