Professor Kraemer on Responsible Stewardship
Thurs, Feb. 28, 5:15 p.m. in G03
Harry Kraemer , a favorite Kellogg professor whose classes usually go for more than 1,000 points, will be addressing Catholics @ Kellogg (and friends) on Thursday, February 28 from 5:15 – 6:15 p.m. in G03. Professor Kraemer is going to speak about Responsible Stewardship, so if you’ve ever pondered the following questions (or even if you haven’t), please come to learn more and engage in Q&A:
- What is our Christian obligation to philanthropy or charity?
- “I’m too poor and too busy.” What’s the balance between time and money, now or later?
- Does my $30 donation really make a difference?
- Can I be materially/monetarily wealthy and still Catholic?
We are really excited to have Prof. Kraemer speak, as he has experienced stewardship from many viewpoints. As an executive partner with Madison Dearborn, a private equity firm, and former president of Baxter International, a $9B global healthcare company, Kraemer balances work, family and volunteer commitments. He serves on numerous non-profit and for-profit boards, including on Sheil Catholic Center’s Advisory Board. Accordingly, he has balanced both time and financial commitments as well.
Light refreshments will be served. Discussion is open to all students, faculty and associates, regardless of religious affiliation. We hope to see you there!
