Availability
The most recent ExecuComp files can be accessed through Wharton Research Data Services.
Execucomp can be accessed by Kellogg faculty and doctoral students using their WRDS accounts. MBA students may obtain a temporary account and password to the WRDS's web interface in the context of a course, if the faculty member uses it for instructional purposes and applies for a class account. Otherwise, for automatic login (controlled by IP address) from the first and second floors in the Jacobs Center, as well as the lab workstations in Wieboldt Hall, please point your web browser to wrds.wharton.upenn.edu/connect.
Description
ExecuComp is a product of Standard & Poor's. This dataset includes over 80 different compensation items on more than 12,500 executives (top five executive officers per company) in companies included in the S&P 500, S&P 400 MidCap and S&P SmallCap 600 indexes; over 35 measures of company financial performance taken from Compustat. The data is annual and available from 1992 forward.

Accessing ExecuComp
- Access ExecuComp through WRDS. The ExecuComp data files are stored in the same path as the Compustat files.
- ExecuComp can also be accessed through the Market Insight web site, in Microsoft Access format. Follow instructions posted there, under "News and Notes...".
