Health
Care Organizations and the Development of the Strategic-Management
Perspective
Stephen M. Shortell and Edward J. Zajac,
Innovations in Health Care Delivery, Jossey-Bass Publishers,San
Francisco 1990

to the health care sector and to the study of strategy in
general. In each area we draw on recent research to illustrate
its potential contributions for further theory development.
