General Information
Who can I talk to about choosing a program?

Do I earn credit for Executive Education programs?
Executive Education offers only non-degree programs and each participant receives a certificate of completion at the end of the program. However, participants of our Kellogg Executive Scholars Program receive the status of Kellogg Executive Education Alumnus. The benefits of our Kellogg Executive Scholars program can be found here.
Who teaches in the Executive Education programs?
Members of the Kellogg School’s faculty share the latest findings from their own research as well as theory from their respective disciplines by designing and teaching in all of our executive education programs. The Center for Nonprofit Management also utilizes recognized leaders in the nonprofit sector to bring practical application to the learning experience. Does Kellogg have any distance-learning options?
All of our Executive Education programs require you to participate on campus. The Kellogg School’s emphasis on team work and hands-on learning in the classroom is unrivaled by any institution and would be difficult to replicate in a distance-learning based model.
Where are the programs located?
Our programs are held at the Kellogg School of Management’s downtown Chicago campus in Wieboldt Hall located at 340 East Superior Street. Click here to download a map. Parking is available only at the Northwestern Memorial parking structure located at the corner of Superior and North St. Clair streets.
How long is each program?
Typically, our programs are 2 ½ days, beginning on Sunday afternoon and running through lunch on Tuesday. Detailed schedules for each program are available on our website.
Can I miss any portion of the program?
In order to make the most of your executive education experience, we recommend that you attend the entire program.
What is the Kellogg Executive Scholars Program?
The Kellogg Executive Scholars Program provides a practical, flexible, yet academically rigorous way to achieve your specific professional goals. The Scholars Program links courses sponsored by the Center for Nonprofit Management with the executive education programs at the Kellogg School’s highly regarded James L. Allen Center in Evanston, Ill. Successful participants receive a Certificate of Professional Achievement in Nonprofit Management.

Registration – General
How do I register for a program?
There are two simple ways to apply for our programs:
- Complete the online application available on each program’s webpage
- Download the printable PDF application available on each program’s webpage and return it to the Center for Nonprofit Management by mail, fax, or email.
*Applications are accepted up until 10:00am the day before the program begins

Registration – International
I don’t live in the U.S., do I need a visa?
Participants in our non-degree Executive Education programs are not eligible for student visas. Participants requiring a visa should contact a U.S. embassy or consulate in your area to apply for a business visa (B-1).

Payments, Scholarships and Cancellations
What is the cost of each program?
The tuition for each program is $950. The Center for Nonprofit Management has a scholarship program which enables paid and volunteer leaders of nonprofit organizations with 501 (c) 3 status to receive financial assistance up to 50% of the tuition cost.
Are ALL of the Nonprofit Executive Education programs open to scholarship assistance?
You may apply to any program that you feel is appropriate to your professional development needs and scholarships are available for all of our programs.
Is it possible to receive a full scholarship ($0 tuition)?
We believe Executive Education is a partnership between the Kellogg School and you and your organization. Therefore, each party should financially contribute to the educational experience. We will accept tuition payments from you or your organization.
How do you apply for scholarship?
You will find an application and a scholarship form on this website. It is available as an online form or as a printable PDF that you may fax to 847-491-8525
When is payment due?
Payment is due upon receipt of invoice and must be received prior to the program date.
Can I pay online?
You may pay by credit card by contacting Ilam Nikho at 847.491.8274.
What types of payment are accepted?
Payments must be made in U.S. dollars and available payment methods are listed below:
- Checks: Checks must be drawn on U.S. banks and payable in U.S. funds to “Northwestern University.”
- Credit Cards: Please call Ilam Nikho at 847.491.8274 to pay by credit card.
- Wire Transfers: Wire transfers must be accompanied by our bank information available on the invoice or by contacting our Business Manager, Ilam Nikho at
i-nikho@kellogg.northwestern.edu.
Does the cost include accommodations? Are meals included?
Program fees include materials, meals, coffee breaks and any receptions scheduled during the program.
What is the cancellation policy?
Participants must notify the program manager 5 business days in advance of program if they are unable to attend. Otherwise, participants will be charged a nonrefundable 20% of stated tuition.
Who can I contact if I need to change my registration?
Once your enrollment has been confirmed you may contact your program manager if you have any questions about your registration.

Where can I find driving directions?

Is parking available on campus?
Parking is available only at the Erie/Ontario parking structure located between Erie and Ontario at Fairbanks. Once you arrive at the program, we will provide parking validation.
Program Preparation and Details
Will I receive any readings before the program starts?
Approximately 2-3 weeks before the program start date you will receive an information packet in the mail. The advance packet will contain pre-reading materials and logistical information. Please read through these materials prior to the start of the program. Some pre-readings may be directly related to the lectures during the program and some may be for background knowledge only. This will be indicated in your advance materials.
What do I need to bring to be prepared?
Please bring all advance readings with you. Laptops are not required but internet connection is available should you choose to bring your laptop.
Accommodations and Amenities
Where will I stay?

What if I have special dietary needs?
Vegetarian options are available at all meals and breaks during our programs. Please contact us if you have specific questions about your dietary requirements.
Will I have internet access?
Free internet access is available while you are on campus.
What is the recommended attire?
Business casual attire is appropriate during all Executive Education programs. We recommend dressing in layers to accommodate temperature variances in the classrooms and common areas.
Are there accommodations for special needs?
Wieboldt Hall is fully accessible. We will make every effort to accommodate any special needs you may have. Please contact the program manager for more information or to inform of your specific needs.

What are the alumni benefits of being a Kellogg Executive Scholar?
Becoming a Kellogg Executive Education Alumnus allows you access to the greater Kellogg Alumni Community through the restricted online website and directory, networking opportunities, access to faculty research and publications, invitations to participate in Kellogg conferences on cutting-edge management issues, subscription to the Kellogg World alumni magazine, a 30% discount on all 1-5 day Executive Education programs, and a permanent Kellogg email forwarding address.
How can I stay in contact with other participants?
All Executive Education program participants will receive a participant list for their session and we encourage participants to join our Kellogg Executive Education LinkedIn network.
