"Inside the Start-up: Views from the Trenches and the Heavens"
Kellogg alumni offer two perspectives on entrepreneurship — from raising money to running the venture.

Carter Cast is the chairman of online retailer Hayneedle Inc. He has served in various senior positions at PepsiCo. Inc., Electronic Arts and Frito-Lay, and served as CEO of Walmart.com.
Matthew McCall is a partner at New World Ventures and co-founder of Draper Fisher Jurvetson Portage Venture Partners. McCall has been involved in investments that include Apptera, Bright Tag, Feedburner (acquired by Google), and TicketsNow (acquired by Ticketmaster).

At Illinois Ventures Warren Holtsberg serves as Vice Chair of the Board of Managers and as a Director of the Illinois Emerging Technologies Fund.  He is a partner at The Tokarz Group, LLC, a private, New York-based merchant bank and is a member of the Board of Directors and Co-Head of Portfolio Management for its MVC Capital Fund (NYSE:MVC), where he sources and executes new investments and helps manage the Fund's global portfolio of private equity, venture, and small and mid cap debt and equity investments across a broad range of industries including technology, consumer/retail, energy and finance.

Kelvin Walker is currently a Partner with 21st Century Group, LLC, a private equity investment firm based in Dallas. 21st Century Group, with $166 million of committed capital, seeks to acquire an equity interest, usually controlling interest, in lower middle market companies focused on emerging domestic and underserved markets in urban and metropolitan areas. Mr. Walker has over 20 years of experience in private equity, corporate finance, and strategic planning. Mr. Walker leads 21st Century’s efforts in originating, structuring, and monitoring the Firm’s investments. He joined 21st Century Group in 1999 and has been involved in the execution and closing of all investments completed by the Firm.

Andrew “Drew” Lipsher is a Partner with Greycroft LLC. Drew brings over fourteen years of media and entertainment experience to Greycroft. His experience has covered all aspects of the media business, including investment (private equity and venture), M&A, strategic planning, new business development, technology, operating and board level activities, restructurings, and divestitures. Drew currently serves or observes on the boards of Greycroft’s investments in Imagespan, Health Plan One, Vitals.com, Worldwide Biggies and Babble. In addition, Drew was involved with Pump Audio (sold to Getty). Drew has previously led investments in Musicbank, Rich Animation, Nest Entertainment, Palomar Pictures, ARTISTdirect (NASDAQ: ARTD), Listen.com (NASDAQ: RNWK), Youtopia.com (sold to 800-America), Planetout.com (NASDAQ: LGBT), Channel V (NYSE: NWS), and Accolade (sold to Atari). Prior to joining Greycroft, Drew was the Head of M&A, Corporate Development, and Administration for Interscope, Geffen, A&M Records ("IGA"), a division of the Universal Music Group.
