GHI would like to feature our alumni for their outstanding contribution towards improving global health.

Steve has been involved in GHI for two quarters, and joined the steering committee after participating in an HIV behavioral impact study last winter. His background is in molecular biology, and he spent four years working in sales and marketing consulting for healthcare companies before coming to Kellogg. Steve is pursuing majors in Finance, Marketing, and Health Industry Management, and plans a career in hospital administration upon finishing his degree. He also enjoys playing poker and softball in his spare time.

Aaron has been focusing on three main pieces of work for GHI: setting up market research trips to Africa; understanding how environmental factors (ambient temperature, reliability of electricity supply, etc) will influence product design; and determining the process for (and politics of) regulatory approval in each country. Prior to Kellogg, Aaron worked as a consultant for The Boston Consulting Group, with Aboriginal tribes in far north Australia, and spent considerable time traveling in Africa, South-East Asia and South America.

Prior to Kellogg, Tibor Friedrich worked for The Boston Consulting Group in Frankfurt, Germany and as a medical doctor in the Department of Surgery at the Klinikum der Stadt Ludwigshafen in Ludwigshafen, Germany. Tibor studied Medicine at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität in Heidelberg, where he graduated in May 2002. He also received his doctoral degree from the University of Heidelberg for his research on a novel marker for improved early detection of cervical cancer at the Department of Surgery, Section for Molecular Diagnostics and Therapy, in Heidelberg.
Hadar served as chair for GHI in its inaugural year and was
instrumental in creating a formal organization at Kellogg for
students interested in global health. Hadar also led GHI projects
around social marketing and organization structure. Hadar continues
to improve global health by serving as an Associate Marketing
Manager at Johnson & Johnson. Hadar was also recently featured
in the Kellogg Full-time Viewbook for 2007 (on page 31) (.pdf) for her significant contribution to GHI.
Prior to Kellogg, Meredith Wilson worked in finance, first as a consultant and then as the Chief Operating Officer of a hedge fund. Meredith is an avid reader and traveler and is committed to improving access to healthcare for the disadvantaged.
Andrew led several instrumental market research projects as
a member of GHI. In addition, as founder of One
Acre Fund, he continues to improve global health by helping
to solve the chronic hunger problem in Africa. Andrew was also
recently featured in BusinessWeek
Online for his efforts with One Acre Fund.
