1)      If a firm has a competitive advantage in both the high quality segment and the low quality segment, why wouldn’t it produce in both segments?

2)      What did Intel perceive were the costs of entering the low-end segment?  

3)      What is the difference between Intel’s and AMD’s incentives to produce a low end chip?  How are new product decisions different for a firm that already has an existing substitute product?
