Availability
Datastream for Windows can be accessed by Kellogg faculty, staff and students at the dedicated workstation in the Andersen computer lab. In addition, for Finance faculty and doctoral students only, Datastream can be accessed through Kellogg's NT network.
Description
Datastream provides an extensive historical financial database offering global coverage of:
- Equities
- Bonds
- Derivatives
- Stock market indexes
- Commodities
- Warrants
- Interest an exchange rates
- Macroeconomic indicators
Datastream draws on a variety of resources that includes the national statistical agencies, central banks, international organizations, as well as consulting companies and research institutes.
Frequencies and coverage: Depending on the type of series, data is available on a daily, weekly, monthly or annual basis. Historical coverage depends on the type of series and the country; some series start as early as 1950.

Accessing Datastream
