Operations Major

Operations concern the recurring activities and processes of the firm. The operations major builds an understanding of how organizations can structure their processes to support strategic objectives as well as how operational choices impact other functions within the firm. The major is useful for those interested in careers in consulting or general management as well as those interested in the functional areas of operations or supply chain management.

Major requirements are determined by the quarter you began your Kellogg MBA program. Any new courses and adjustments to the major displayed in the most recent academic year can be applied to previously matriculated students.

  • A student must earn at least four credits (in any combination of half- and full-credit courses) from the courses listed below to complete the major. Only one lab credit can count toward the major. Only one independent study or field study credit can count toward the major.

    At least two credits must have the OPNS prefix.
