Where business leadership
meets design innovation
Northwestern University’s dual-degree MMM Program equips future business leaders to drive the entire product or service innovation life cycle, especially as product managers.
In this program, you’ll receive a rigorous education in business and design innovation, with a foundation in technology. You’ll learn to strike the ideal balance between big-picture approaches and detail-oriented processes for solving problems and identifying opportunities. You’ll graduate ready to design and manage end-to-end solutions.
"The MMM Program gives students the knowledge and appreciation of the rightful place of design in leading businesses forward ... MMM students have an edge on the competition when it comes to driving real value in business."
Matt Levatich, MMM ‘94 President and COO Harley-Davidson Motor Co.
"Product and service companies increasingly seek to combine product innovations with process and business model innovations. With the interdisciplinary curriculum of the MMM program, MMMs are best prepared to create and lead such innovation."
Mikko Rieger, MMM ‘06 Senior Program Manager, Nokia
The MMM Program is set to debut enhancements that add new dimensions to our design innovation and technology curriculum and prepares our graduates to tackle the complex challenges of the 21st century
Among the new required courses launching for the MMM Class of 2016:
- Applied advanced analytics
- Design of networks
- Design research
- Innovation frontiers
- Organizing for innovation
- Programming design
- Project management
- Service design
The additional coursework will bring the number of credits to 28.5 and extend the program to seven quarters. Students would start in June, join their Two-Year counterparts in the fall, and graduate alongside them two years later. Summer internships would still occur at the end of the first year.
MMM offers a host of hands-on learning experiences inside and outside the classroom, including the capstone Integration Project. The Integration Project has students focus on end-to-end solutions at major corporations, such as Nissan, Harley Davidson, John Deere, Mayo Clinic, Herman Miller, Kohler, Wrigley, Vera Bradley and Abbott.
There’s also a MMM-specific studio and prototyping space, MMM-specific business and design competitions, and a summer internship following your first year.
Take advantage of a dedicated MMM career coach through our best-in-class Career Management Center. Participate in MMM-specific recruiting opportunities as well as recruiting events for the Full-Time MBA students. You’ll also have access to both the Kellogg and McCormick alumni networks.
