Getting Here & Parking

Air
Major airlines fly into both O’Hare International Airport and Midway International Airport. O’Hare Airport is approximately 45 minutes from Kellogg and Midway Airport is approximately 60 minutes from Kellogg, but you may want to allow more time for traffic.

Taxi
Taxi service from both airports can be arranged in advance of your visit for a reduced fare. Pre-arranged rides start at approximately $35 from O’Hare and $50 from Midway. For up-to-date fare information, please contact a taxi service directly.
Parking
We are happy to provide a parking permit for visitors that drive to campus. Upon arriving, park at either the South Campus Parking Garage (1847 Campus Drive) or the North Campus Parking Garage (2311 North Campus Drive.) The North Campus Parking Garage is closer to the Global Hub. Before leaving campus make sure to ask the staff for a validated parking ticket to exit the garage.

Public Transportation

The Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) maintains an extensive system of elevated trains (also known as “the L”) and buses throughout Chicago and Evanston. The train stop closest to Kellogg is the Purple Line Foster stop on Church and Davis Streets. The 201 bus departs from the Howard St. terminal and stops on the corner of Foster and Sheridan.

Be advised, while inexpensive, taking the CTA from the airport can take up to 90 minutes and requires transferring trains.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I schedule an interview?

A limited number of interview slots have been reserved for applicants during each of the Fall preview days for participants who have submitted their completed application prior to the event start date. These spots are available on a first-come first-served basis and we cannot guarantee availability. Once you have completed your Kellogg application, you may contact the admissions office at 847-491-3308 to schedule an interview. Please identify yourself as a Preview Day participant. The attire for interviews is business and you must bring a copy of your resume for the interviewer.

You are not required to complete your interview during your visit. You may interview at some other time either on-campus or off-campus with an alumni. Please visit the admissions website for further information on the interview process.

Do I have to complete a long application including essays in order to attend the Preview Day events?

No, there is only an online registration form in order to enroll in all preview day events. The information collected will help us plan for the event and is not used for evaluation purposes. It will not affect your application.

I plan to submit my Kellogg application during the first round. Should I attend one of these events?

Many participants last year also submitted their application prior to attending one of our preview days and they felt that the event provided them the opportunity to experience the Kellogg culture first hand, to engage with our current students and alumni and to experience what matriculating at Kellogg would feel like if offered a seat in the class.

Should I attend this event if I do not plan to apply to Kellogg this year?

Yes. We know that it may take time to decide if an MBA is right for you. We also know that gathering information is critical when you are trying to decide to which school you will apply. This event can provide much of the information that you need about Kellogg and the programs that we offer.

Does Kellogg cover the cost of transportation and lodging for participants?

No, we do not cover the cost of transportation and lodging for our preview days. Kellogg will provide all meals for the duration of the conference.

What is the suggested attire?

The attire for preview days is business casual. If you have scheduled an interview please dress in business professional attire.

Can I bring a significant other to this event?

Unfortunately, space is very limited so this event is only for potential applicants to the Kellogg. There are many events throughout the year at Kellogg at which spouses and significant others are welcome such as student hosted conferences and just about any other time you come to visit the school.

How do I cancel my attendance?

If you have registered for any of our preview day events and you can no longer attend, please send an email to mbaevents@kellogg.northwestern.edu so that we may offer your spot to another candidate. Also, if you have scheduled an interview and cancel your attendance at this event, you need to contact the admissions office at 847-491-3308 or via email at MBAAdmissions@kellogg.northwestern.edu to cancel your interview.
