1. Career Resources Update for PTMBA Students

Did you know that as a Part-Time Kellogg student, you have access to unlimited one-on-one career coaching while a current student?  At any point during your Kellogg career, you can schedule an appointment with a Part-Time program Career Coach to discuss a wide range of career management issues.  Whether you are contemplating what's next, conducting a job search, navigating within your current company, practicing as an independent consultant, or starting your own business, our Career Coaches can help you.

Don’t forget to check out all of our online resources too—the answer to your questions may be right at your finger tips.  The Kellogg PT Career Resources website is filled with resources to help you with any type of career question. Online database resources are also helpful to gather information you need both for classes and your career.  Check out Hoover’s, Thompson One, Capital IQ, ABI Inform and more.

2. Kellogg Kohorts Winter Getaway Info Session this Saturday

Kellogg Kohorts still has a few spots open for its annual Winter Getaway trip this coming December (12th through the 22nd) . This year, participants will be taken on an exciting discovery tour of the country of Morocco. Please see the attached file for more information about the itinerary.

The deadline to sign up for the trip is approaching. To get more information and reserve your spot please STOP BY KELLOGG KAFE THIS SATURDAY BETWEEN 12:15PM AND 1:15PM.

3. DECS 433 and 434 Waiver Exams- October 15th & 16th

Waiver exams are being offered for DECS 433 and 434 on Friday, October 15th and Saturday, October 16th.

NOTE: DECS waivers exams are only offered once every quarter. Please plan accordingly. Students may sit for the DECS 433 and 434 waiver exam one time only.

Sample tests are available here and may be used for study purposes.

Registration required. Students are allowed to test for both but not on the same day. Students taking both must register separately for each exam day.

4. Stata Support- Additional Training Session Added 10/9

After nearly two years of planning, Kellogg students will have a license to download Stata/IC, a powerful statistical package that is widely use in universities and in industry.

This Saturday, October 9th we will offer an introductory Stata training session, between 11:00AM and 12:30PM. The rest of the quarter, there will be support available in room M266 at this time.

5. Managers’ Ball 2011 Planning Kickoff – Join us!

Did you have a great time at this year’s Managers’ Ball?  Do you have ideas for next year’s event?  Are you looking for a fun way to contribute to the Kellogg community outside of the classroom? 

If so, please join us for the 2011 Managers’ Ball Planning Kickoff meeting on Wednesday, October 20, 5-6 PM at Wieboldt, room 147. 

You will have the opportunity to sign up for any committee(s) of interest to you, including

6. Art & Culture Club Event - Pilsen Art Walk!

When: Friday, October 8th, 6pm - 10pm.

Every second Friday of the month, more than 30 galleries in the Chicago Arts District open their doors for a blocked off open air art walk!  Enjoy many mediums of artistic expression including painting, photography, sculpture, and avant garde fashion.
