Kellogg School announces new Director of Admissions

1/13/2003 -

The Kellogg School of Management is pleased to announce the appointment of Beth Flye to the position of Director of Admissions for the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

Flye was selected for the position after a national search, and we are pleased that she is joining our staff effective today, January 13. She brings to the Kellogg School of Management more than a decade of higher education admissions experience.

Most recently, Flye served as Senior Associate Director of Admissions for the Darden Graduate School of Business Administration at the University of Virginia. She was responsible for strategic planning to target, admit and yield a diverse class of students for its full-time masters of business administration program. Her responsibilities also included managing the strategies and admission activities for prospective students from Europe and Latin America, which led to 40 percent increase in European applications in one year.

Flye also served in various capacities with the admissions department at the Kenan-Flager Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. As Associate Director of Admissions for marketing and recruiting, she was responsible for the successful launch of an alumni volunteer program in Europe and the regions in the United States.

She began her career as Assistant Director of Admissions for Meredith College in Raleigh, N.C., where she also served as Assistant Director of its teaching fellows program and Assistant Director of the Broyhill Leadership Institute. She then served as Coordinator of Meredith College's masters of business administration program before joining the staff at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Flye received her BA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and her MBA from Meredith College.
