Business with a Heart organizes holiday gift drive

12/1/2003 -

Students at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University coordinated a Holiday Gift Drive this year to benefit more than 400 elementary students from Chicago and Evanston. Kellogg School MBA students, faculty and staff fulfilled specific holiday wishes from children at the Sojourner Truth School, a Chicago-based public elementary school and Family Focus, an after school program for children in Evanston. The gifts, including toys, stuffed animals, and winter clothes will be delivered to Sojourner Truth on Tuesday, December 16 and to Family Focus on Wednesday, December 17. All surplus donations will be given to the Toys for Tots Foundation, a national holiday toy drive coordinated by the Marine Reserves.

The gift drive was part of the Kellogg School's student-run community service organization, Business With a Heart. This organization creates many opportunities for the Kellogg MBA students to give back to the local community.
