Welcome
from Dean Dipak C. Jain
Welcome
to the Web site of the Kellogg School of Management at
Northwestern University. We hope you enjoy your visit
here as we introduce you to the unique academic community
that has made Kellogg one of the world's leading business
schools.
As you
navigate our site you will discover that the Kellogg School
is a wonderful place to learn and teach because of
our rich collaborative culture — a blend of academics,
diversity, team leadership and continuous innovation. We
have developed
a curriculum founded on rigor and relevance, foregrounding
the importance of people and ethics. This dynamic environment
elevates everyone — faculty, students and staff — to be their
best.
What really differentiates Kellogg from other schools is
our students. We are dedicated to admitting students with
a broad diversity in work experience, interests, talents,
and cultural and ethnic backgrounds. We achieve this diversity
by interviewing every Kellogg applicant.
The quality
of our students is so important to us because Kellogg students,
as partners with our administration, assume an active role
in the entrepreneurial spirit of our MBA programs. Whether
in the full-time program, the part-time program or the Executive
Master's Program, our students are involved in the initiatives
that the Kellogg School will take now and in the future. The
Kellogg Office of the Dean partners with our students to create
an academic experience that is truly unparalleled, providing
students not only with an MBA degree, but skills and networking
opportunities that bring lifelong competitive advantages.
Kellogg students aren't limited only to our MBA programs.
Our community includes thousands of participants in the Kellogg
School Executive Education Programs at the state-of-the-art
James L. Allen Center here in Evanston. Executives arrive
on Northwestern University's campus for one-, two- and four-week
programs taught by the same outstanding research-based faculty
as our MBA programs. We also offer customized executive education
courses around the world for international companies.
The Kellogg
School also offers joint degree programs with the Leon
Recanati Graduate School of Business Administration
at Tel Aviv University in
Israel; the Otto Beisheim Graduate School at the Koblenz
School of Corporate Management in Germany, the School of
Business and Management at the Hong Kong University of Science
and Technology, and the Schulich School of Business at York
University in Toronto. These programs are modeled after our
executive MBA curriculum.
In addition, we have global alliances with the Sasin Graduate
School of Business Administration of Chulalongkorn University
in Bangkok, Thailand; the India School of Business in Hyderabad,
India; and Beijing University in China. For these alliances
we primarily provide these schools with academic leadership
and curriculum guidance.
All these initiatives have resulted in a worldwide network
of alumni, MBAs and executives who have come through the
Kellogg School and experienced our culture and world-class
academics. Indeed, Kellogg alumni are some of our best ambassadors:
I suggest that if you have an opportunity to visit with an
alum, you do so to enjoy a firsthand account of the Kellogg
culture from someone who is part of our family.
Now, enjoy exploring our Web site, and contact us with any
questions you may have about our unique educational opportunities.
I hope we see you in person soon at the Kellogg School of
Management.
