Following in the footsteps of many distinguished business leaders, Jeff Immelt, CEO of GE, will deliver the 2008 Convocation address to graduates of the Kellogg School’s Full- and Part-Time MBA programs. The ceremony will take place June 21, 2008 at the Welsh-Ryan Arena in Evanston.
Mr. Immelt has held several global leadership positions since joining GE in 1982, including roles in GE's Plastics, Appliance, and Medical businesses. The following year, he was appointed chairman of the board.
Barron's twice named Mr. Immelt one of the "World's Best CEOs" and since he began serving as CEO, GE was named "America's Most Admired Company" in a poll conducted by Fortune magazine and one of "The World's Most Respected Companies" in polls by Barron's and the Financial Times.
Mr. Immelt serves as chairman of The Business Council and he is on the board of three non-profit organizations: Catalyst, Robin Hood, and the New York Federal Reserve Bank.
