Pedro Zinner is the head of the Global Corporate Finance function for Vale, the Brazilian Mining giant. Before holding that position, He was Vale’s Global Strategy and Risk Management Director.


Zinner joined Vale in 2002, and has worked in different areas of the company since then, such as Strategic Planning, Investment Management and M&A. Before joining Vale, Zinner led the Corporate Governance funds department of Icatu Bank (BBA Icatu Investments), company that he joined in 1994.


Pedro Zinner is a member of Vale’s Risk Management committee and member of the Board of Trustees of the Thyssen Krupp Slab International B.V., of Vale Soluções em Energia (VSE), of Vale Energia Limpa (VEL) and of Fosfertil (deputy member).


He has a major in Economics by PUC/RJ, a Chicago Booth MBA (former Chicago Booth Graduate School of Business),  and several Corporate Management specialization courses from MIT Sloan and IMD, as well as a degree in Financial Applied Mathematics from the Brazilian Institute of Pure and Applied Mathematics (IMPA).
