She has worked both in the public and private sectors, and for the last 15 years she has been a part of CEMEX México, working in the Strategic Planning, Marketing and Communications divisions. She is currently the Director of Corporate Social Responsibility and Community Development in the Institutional Relations and External Communications division.

In this position, she has been responsible for developing social programs that have benefited more than 5 million Mexicans and have received recognition and awards from the United Nations, HABITAT, the Organization of American States, and CEMEFI, among others, for their effectiveness in relieving multidimensional poverty. She is a member of the advisory board of many organizations such as UN-HABITAT, World Urban Forum, Urban Age Institute, CEMEFI, Fundación Axtel and SumaRSE.

In 2008 she was recognized as one of the ten most influential women in the construction industry in México by Obras magazine. In 2009 she was awarded the Promise of the Year award by Grupo Expansión. That same year and in 2010 she was selected among the 100 most powerful businesswomen in México.

She holds a BA in International Studies from Universidad de Monterrey. She is also a Master in Political Sciences, specializing in Developing Nations, from McGill University in Montreal, Canada, and holds a Multinational MBA from Adolfo Ibañez University in Miami and Deusto School of Business in Bilbao, Spain. She also holds certificates in Community Relations and Corporate Social Responsibility from Boston College’s Corporate Citizen Center and has participated in the International Executive Business Program with Stanford University, INSEAD and Tecnológico de Monterrey.
