Ramiro Garces is Vice President of Human Resources for the Latin American region of Kimberly-Clark Corporation, maker of Huggies®, Kleenex®, and Scott®.

Based in Atlanta, Georgia, he leads the function for the company’s business units in 20 Central, South American, and Caribbean countries. Mr. Garces joined the company in 1999 as Human Resources Senior Director for Latin America and subsequently served as Vice President of Human Resources for Europe, Middle East and Africa, based in London, prior to assuming his current role. During his tenure, a strong focus on blending multiple entrepreneurship styles to form a winning culture have led to Kimberly-Clark being ranked as the #1 Best Place to Work across Latin America in both 2010 and 2011 according to the Great Place to Work Institute.

Mr. Garces has shared his professional insights in business publications such Latin Trade and Summa, and has been a guest speaker at various forums, including PMI (Project Management Institute), a CEO roundtable led by Boyden Global Executive Search, engagements at Purdue University’s Krannert School of Management and the upcoming Strategic Human Capital Forum sponsored by C&D Magazine (Grupo Conocimiento y Dirección) in Mexico.

Born in Medellin, Colombia, Mr. Garces held various leadership roles with several multinational companies prior to joining Kimberly-Clark, including Ernst & Young Consulting, United Airlines, and American Airlines. Mr. Garces holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Antioquia, Colombia.
