ALFREDO CAPOTE is deeply interested in finance, entrepreneurship and education. He is a Managing Director at Goldman Sachs & Co, responsible for their investment banking business in Mexico and Central America. Mr. Capote has been involved in the development and execution of M&A and capital market transactions across a broad array of industries, including financial institutions, media, telecommunications, mining, infrastructure, transportation, software and general industrials.

Before his current position at Goldman Sachs, Mr. Capote worked for Morgan Stanley’s M&A and Corporate Finance division and as a management consultant for AT Kearney in Mexico, Brazil and Argentina. Mr. Capote has been recognized as one of the top investment bankers in Latin America and delivered key note speeches at universities, financial and business associations, and media forums in the last 10 years.  In 2010, Mr. Capote was recognized by the World Economic Forum as a Young Global Leader. Within the WEF he is an active participant in different initiatives focused Latin America and ‘Youth Effect’. Mr. Capote is deeply involved with NGOs focused on fostering entrepreneurship and education.

Mr. Capote holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, an MA in Administration from ITAM in Mexico with honors, and graduated magna cum laude in with a degree in Chemical Engineering from Manhattan College in New York City.
