Benelux
Dear Benelux Kellogg Friends,
After the long summer holiday, which included a barbecue
and Caribbean cocktail party on June 21, we hope you
are as ready as we are to start the new Kellogg season.
First, I would
like to extend a personal thank you to Melissa Dagenhart ’94 and Sam Youssef ’98,
who are moving to the United States. Sam was instrumental
in getting the
club restarted in 1998, and Melissa added a lot of dynamism
to the leadership team a couple of years ago. We wish them
the best of luck in their new endeavor. If you are interested
in joining our leadership team, please contact me.
We are delighted
to announce to our friends based in the Netherlands that
a strong team has been put in place to develop
alumni activities in the area. Patty Ozaki ’97, Natasha
Janssens-Nikolauk ’94, Eylard Wurpel ’94 and
Peter Baër ’00 have been busy updating the alumni
directory, and organized a get-together in Amsterdam Sept.
24.
Back to Belgium:
The club continues to represent Kellogg to the MBA2U workshop,
which took place Sept. 27, and for
the first time to the World MBA Tour fair Oct 9. With European
brand development getting higher on Kellogg’s agenda,
Admissions sent a representative. This is an additional incentive
to our annual call for volunteers to attend one of these
events for at least an hour, as experience has shown that
alumni make a decisive impact on (potential) applicants.
Last year’s
most popular event was the Chicago Blues, co-organized
with alumni from the University of Chicago.
We repeated this magic mix of rhythm, socializing and networking
Oct. 17.
Details of future events can be found on the European
alumni Web site.
