EMP-22

Hello EMP-22,

Well we have finally broken the ice. News from classmates. I received notice that Robert Walner has been promoted to chief administrative officer at Grubb & Ellis, one of the largest commercial real estate firms in the United States. Robert has been there since 1994 and now oversees all legal, human resources, education and training, risk management and government relations functions and is still in his role as general counsel and corporate secretary. Congratulations Bob! You must be busy.

I also heard from Linda Wesolowski who retired from corporate life at Ameritech and moved to Indianapolis where she develops and sells homes and represents Mary Kay Cosmetics. She says she is doing great and wants everyone to come by and visit her during the winter. Not!

I saw in Erica’s letter to the alumni last issue that Bill Leonard has been named president and CEO of Graphic Technology and reports to Bill Hayes. We are glad that both of you are doing well and still enjoying each other’s company after 10 years. Where are you guys? Send me more info and I will get it into the next issue.

Unfortunately I also read that Jose Persico passed away. Our condolences as a class go out to Jose’s family and friends.

Lastly, I have upgraded my e-mail service and my new e-mail has a minor change. I can now be reached at earp610@home.com. Send me your contact information and any news on you and your family even if it is just how you are doing. Hardly anyone has seen each other for 10 years and it is time we networked as a class like those guys at those other b-schools on the coasts. You can tell I am feeling the strain of being a Midwestern business school grad on the West Coast. So e-mail me! Call me! Or just stop by. I look forward to hearing from you.
