KELLOGG/WHU-05

Hello everyone. This is the first time we are publishing news of Kellogg/WHU-05. Thanks for your updates.

Kellogg/WHU-05 chose to make a collective gift to a charitable organization at the end of the program. In total, we were able to collect almost $8,000 for a very worthwhile project helping street kids in Romania. Hans Baritt spent a weekend visiting the children's home outside of Bucharest to make sure our money was going to a good cause. It was quite a moving experience for him, he says.

Joseph Schrull III has founded a second company: Five Minds Financial Partnership, based in Frankfurt, Germany. FMFP offers fee-only financial planning and consulting services to entrepreneurs, executives and expats coming to Germany and Switzerland. Together with his corporate finance boutique, Five Minds AG (based in Zug, Switzerland), he offers his clients a wide range of services. FMFP is sharing an office with Ulrich Mller (Downer & Company) and Hugo von Liechtenstein (GFFM v. Liechtenstein Gmbh & Co.).

Norbert Kireth will move to Vienna in September as CEO of T-Mobile Austria.

After six very successful years as managing director, responsible for the total re-engineering of a coal mine supplier, Christian Kockler went back in the window and roll shutter business, in which he previously had spent 10 years. Since March, he has been managing director at Lakal, one of the oldest aluminum rolling-shutter companies in Germany. Lakal is a fast-growing company (25 percent growth rate from 2003 to 2004), gaining real market share. After the first two months, Christian reported he was using many of the learned frameworks of the Kellogg MBA course.

Congratulations to Marwan Moubarak and wife Emel Sevgili, who welcomed daughter Chloè in Aix en Provence, France, on Feb. 3. Marwan is currently based in France, serving as the health-care consulting manager for the French consulting group Apave.
