Mohamedusman Baki is a retired plant manager, along with Commissioner Avila and three other professionals of Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago (District). He travelled to Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam, India, in February 2016, to conduct international workshops on “Innovative & Sustainable Wastewater Treatment.” These voluntary workshops benefited hundreds of treatment plant operators and managers to optimize the performance of wastewater treatment plant.

Michael Hugos is a co-founder of SCM Globe, a cloud-based provider of supply chain simulation applications, applied big data and simulations to solve pressing humanitarian aid problems. He and his team presented simulations showing supply chains to support a large-scale Syrian refugee evacuation scenario at MODSIM World 2016, resulting in invitations to speak at the Transportation Research Board and brief the commander and senior government officials at U.S. Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM).
