Club of Switzerland
Many changes have taken place at the Kellogg Alumni Club of Switzerland (a.k.a. the Northwestern University Club of Switzerland).
At the AGM/Founders Dinner on Jan. 26, about 50 alumni and guests saw new board members unanimously approved. Attendees recognized the honorable discharge of Marina Morari ’83 and Gerhard Schmid ’86 from the board; the honorable discharge of Niklaus Huber ’94 from the president’s role; and the honorable discharge of Zbynek Zak ’76 as auditor (a non-board role).
New board members include Jonathan Humphries ’08, president; Stefan Pap ’05, vice president; Luca Jelmoni ’02; treasurer; Andreas Zehnder ’98, membership chair; Jonathan Humphries (a.i.) ’08; communication chair; Bernd Ehle ’00, Geneva chapter chair; Markus Binkert ’01, Karl Safft ’93, and Niklaus Huber ’94, events chairs; and the confirmation of Gerhard Schmid ’86 as new auditor. These changes take effect immediately. Barring imperatives requiring earlier changes, these board assignments are assumed valid until the annual meeting of members in January 2012.
The board, on behalf of the members, would like to thank Marina Morari ’83 for her communications role over the years, keeping the members up to date on events; Gerhard Schmidt ’86, who was one of the original founding members of the KAC/NU Club in 1996, and successfully championed the roles of treasurer, president and vice president during his time on the board; Niklaus Huber ’94, for his tireless commitment to driving the club forward and increasing participation in his role as president and previously as treasurer; and Zbynek Zak ’76, for his accurate auditing and reporting of the club’s accounts over the years.
We would also like to thank Markus Binkert ’01, for his organization of the Founders Dinner/AGM at the Marriott hotel in Zurich, which ensured that all alumni and guests had a very enjoyable evening, successfully re-connecting old friends and creating a supportive environment for new alumni members Hildegard Werland ’02, Christian Martin ’09, Eduard Knezevic ’09, Philipp Schwarcz ’09, Thomas Wright ’09 and Alexander Lenzlinger
