Kellogg introduces new program for Jewish leaders

Kellogg has launched a new executive education program to enable rabbis and other Jewish leaders to advance their professional management skills to better lead their nonprofit organizations.

The Kellogg Management Education for Jewish Leaders (KJL) program welcomed its inaugural class Nov. 30, 2008. Fifty-five participants from the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom, across the Jewish spectrum, participated in the five-day session at the James L. Allen Center.

The KJL curriculum focuses on the disciplines of leadership and governance, marketing, organizational behavior and financial management.  Fund-raising, conflict resolution, and crisis management also are addressed.

At the conclusion of the on-campus session, participants are accepted into the KJL Leaders Circle. KJL colleagues can participate in ongoing learning with Kellogg speakers, participate in webinars, and access a "University Blackboard" for distance learning.

The next KJL on-campus session will take place Nov. 29 - Dec. 3, 2009.
