South Florida club
South Florida alums enjoy a warm-weather holiday party on Dec. 7.

Florida—South

Our biggest event to close out 2004 was the Dec. 7 holiday party, graciously organized and hosted by Jose Prado '95. Nearly 40 alums and friends showed up at the downtown Brickell restaurant for wining, dining and complaining about real estate prices.

In February the South Florida club welcomed Professor Philip Kotler and Dean Dipak Jain for a whirlwind micro-mini MBA Update at the Hyatt in Coral Gables. We were also graced by the presence of Alumni Advisory Board members on their way to Chile.

Major changes are afoot for the South Florida club board. After single-handedly creating our fine regional club, Willy Kotas '86 has swanned off on a jolly new job in Mexico/Brazil/whatever airport and is now emeritus in his status on the board. Kristin Barbieri '97 has stepped up to the presidency, as she did not duck in time. Jonathan Muhtar '00, Claudine Coto '03 and Doug Stein '04 have also joined the board. We're fired up for some great new events for 2005 so contact us if you haven't already.
