TMP 1997

After nearly eight years in sunny San Diego, Beau Beck and family have moved north to Los Altos, Calif. Beau is now vice president of business development with Airgo Networks of Palo Alto. Kids Christian, 8, Harrison, 6, and Lily, almost 4, are doing great.

Gary Kaufman and his wife Amy Katzoff had a baby girl named Zoe Celeste Kaufman on Sept. 26. They report: "Zoe was born one month early, arriving right before the baseball playoffs began in order to help lift the Curse of the Bambino (her mom is from Boston). Well, at least that's how we like to tell the story." Zoe continues the Kaufman clan's curse-reversing ability, as her older brother Jake (now 3) has been the driving influence of the Patriots' run to greatness.

Mike TMP '98 and Stacy Devine had a second son, Zachary Gray Devine, on Sept. 2. He joins brother Connor, who is now 2.

Jackie Dano Greiner, her husband Jim and big brother Garrett of Denver are proud to announce the arrival of Abigail (Abby) Rose, born Dec. 18. Jackie plans to return to her marketing services business, MarketMinded, after her maternity leave.

Julie Schwab is the full-time mother of three boys. David, 6, is in kindergarten; Brian, 4, just started preschool; and Matthew will be 2 in April and "is quickly learning he can exercise his rights to say 'no, no, no' when asked to get off the table or eat his green beans!" Julie has continued her involvement with the Hinsdale Junior Woman's Club and has become more involved in the boys' schools and teaching Sunday school. Julie says just doing laundry takes up a lot of time with her brood.

Brian Scullion recently made partner at William Blair & Co. He is in the healthcare investment banking group.

John Tilson joined Brown Gibbons Lang in May 2003 as a director. He does investment banking focusing on cross-border and consumer products transactions with enterprise value from $50 million to $500 million. John spent the previous 15 years with First National Bank of Chicago/Bank One/JP Morgan. He and his wife Mary are living in Winnetka, Ill., with their three kids: Fiona, Eliza and Tommy.

Patty Riskind, president of HealthIntell, writes with the news that the company has spun off from 3d Health Inc. Her company is a market research and consulting firm that has assumed management of 3d Health's patient satisfaction survey, physician market research and business development/lead generation consulting services. Gopi Bommakanti is a technical manager at Lucent Technologies; his team provides 3G systems product certification support. He's a single dad living in Naperville, Ill., with his daughter Anu and son Nikhil. Gopi says, "I'm always looking for partners for tennis or golf and hoping to fix my golf elbow by spring." Greg Mount is working for a consulting group in Michigan that works primarily with the auto industry.

Andrea Zanzola is a finance manager for Discover Financial Services, a Morgan Stanley company, in Riverwoods, Ill. She lives in LaGrange Park.

John P. Strelecky recently celebrated the one-year anniversary of the release of his book, The Why Are You Here Caf� (whycafe.com). The book is now sold in more than 25 countries and in August of last year set a world record for the fastest sales on all seven continents. His follow-up to the book, a CD series called The Big Five for Life, was featured on the cover of the February edition of Executive Excellence magazine.

My wife Rebecca TMP '02 and I are settling into our Dallas home, enjoying breaking free of condo life in Chicago by building out our back patio and putting in a monster grill. We look forward to doing a lot of entertaining by the pool in the spring and summer.
