ESPN CFO talks strategy
TMP WBA hosts ESPN CFO

Christine Driessen, chief financial officer of ESPN Inc. (pictured center with TMP students Teri Lenth, left, and Trang Tran), presented her leadership and management insights to students from The Managers' Program (TMP) at the Kellogg School in February. With six domestic networks reaching more than 87 million U.S. homes, ESPN is the country's leading cable sports broadcaster. Driessen discussed how ESPN is using technology, focus groups and new programming (stay tuned for ESPN-produced reality television) to maintain its dominant position. She said ESPN dissects each minute of its flagship program "SportsCenter" to determine what appeals to viewers. TMP's Women's Business Association sponsored Driessen's discussion at 340 E. Superior on the Kellogg School's Chicago campus.
