Hello Class of EMP-56! Our class news has been silent for the last few KW editions and I am sorry for that! No doubt that our class continues to moves boldly, making business and the world a better place. Here's our news:

Mark Whittington is the vice president and general manager of Elkay Manufacturing's traditional plumbing business, reporting directly to the CEO. Congrats, Mark! The Whittington family is also doing very well and enjoyed an exciting year. Mark's daughter Abby joined the St. Louis Cardinals' organization in HR and experienced an amazing World Series season! And son Mitch is a freshman studying marketing at Illinois State University.

Justin Daab is president and owner of Magnani Continuum Marketing. Starting the firm in July with two partners, Justin's Magnani (pronounced mahn-YAN-eee) offers the "Same budget. Better thinking. Better results.," for customers seeking a truly integrated marketing agency. EMP-56 wishes your venture the best of success, Justin!

Jim Rothschild is the major account sales director at Cirrus Logic and relocated with his family to Austin, Texas. This role offers Jim the opportunity to learn new facets of the business and with his leadership, the sales organization will achieve new levels of excellence.

Dan Masterson and his team at Guardian Angel have continued to experience great success with the launch of the first product, the Guardian Angel Outlet. The product received very positive response from retailers at the 2011 ABC Kids Expo in Louisville, and was selected to be featured on NBC during their morning show in Philly: see tinyurl.com/GuardianAngelOnNBC. Dan's favorite line is, "I don't know how it works, but I love it." You will find the Guardian Angel Outlet in retailers in the spring of 2012. Great work Dan. EMP-56 is impressed with your innovation and focus to bring a new company and product to market!

Cheryl King's company, Hybrid Home Living, is continuing to flourish and has been filming a TV show called "GreenOvation" for HGTV. In addition, she has launched Virtuoso Investment Partners, a multifamily housing energy consulting business. Cheryl is building with green. Keep a look out for her new show.

Many of our classmates are continuing to enjoy success professionally and personally – please be sure to share your news. Our EMP-56 LinkedIn group now has 50 members, about 2/3rds of our class.
