Katharine Merritt and her husband opened a new design studio in Dallas: 92nd Street by Katharine D. Interiors. Clients can come in for window treatment and design consultations, browse the fabric samples or sip champagne on Friday afternoons. Check out her website at katharinedinteriors.com.

Steven Williams is running for Illinois State Representative in the new 35th House district, which covers parts of Orland Park, Palos Park, Palos Hills, Worth, Chicago 19th Ward and Chicago 21st Ward.

Congratulations to James Barrett and his wife Dee, who welcomed their third daughter Mollie on Sept. 23.

Congrats also to Kara Child Kline, who has her hands full with three children under the age of two. She and her husband Matthew Kline EMP-50 welcomed son Barrett last spring, who joins twin sisters Ella and Chelsea.

Sean Lofgren is the newly elected president of the Dallas Business Club, an umbrella association of 24 MBA alumni chapters, representing more than 30,000 alumni in the DFW area.

Paula Davis was chosen as a "Woman Worth Watching in 2012" by Profiles in Diversity Journal. She is the Alcoa Foundation president.

Todd Badgley reports: "I left LGA as the senior vice president of client services in Charlotte and took an ownership position in Dolphin Creative Promotions, a leading branded solutions/promotional products firm in Chicago. We have been in business for 18 years and are expanding.

I also traveled with my father and friends to Kisumu, Kenya last year on a mission trip with Agape Children's Ministry. We built a cafeteria at a primary school for at-risk boys and enjoyed every moment of it!"
