Students learn to navigate technology at Kellogg during TEKcamp.

TEKcamp

Technology is a critical skill in coursework, student activities and career management at Kellogg. As a result, all students must possess robust computer skills to fully exploit the resources available to them at Kellogg. To assist students with these important skills as they begin Kellogg, we offer Technology Education @ Kellogg, also known as TEKcamp, a training program held during the Pre-Term program for all incoming students. TEKcamp is supplemented by a year-long series of training seminars, known as Ongoing TEK Classes.

We assume that all incoming students are familiar with basic computing tools such as email, Internet Explorer, Windows, Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Students not familiar with these applications should spend time over the summer learning the basics of these applications. Students will use them extensively at Kellogg.

The goal of TEKcamp is to make all students familiar with the Kellogg computing environment. A mandatory three-hour session, Navigating Technology at Kellogg, familiarizes students with the network and intranet environment at Kellogg and the various tools available to facilitate communication within groups.

TEKcamp sessions are highly customized for Kellogg students. They are designed and taught by faculty members, advanced doctoral students, second-year students, and information systems staff.
